“Sometimes people leave you
Halfway through the wood
Others may decieve you
You decide what's good
You decide alone
But no one is alone”
-Stephen Sondheim, Into the Woods
About the Design:
The Flora of the Forest ring was inspired by cold, Minnesota winters and the longing to wander the lush forest on warm Spring days. The ring features a deep blue green Kingman Turquoise embraced by a thick, decorative silver floral bezel to showcase the raw beauty of the stone. To support but not outshine the turquoise, the stone is set on a wider band of silver.
About the Stone:
Located near Kingman, Arizona, the Kingman Turquoise Mine is one of the oldest turquoise mines in America. While the mine opened for commercial production in 1880, the indigenous peoples of America have been mining it for over 1000 years. The diversity of color and matrix of the turquoise mined in Kingman are a couple of the reasons it is so sought after.
Size: 8.5 US
Materials: Sterling Silver
Stone: Kingman Turquoise
Notes: Due to the nugget cut of the turquoise, many raw elements such as veining occur in the stone. The center vein contains a small pit where a pebble sat in the stone. The price of this piece reflects this.
***This piece was photographed using natural lighting to capture the beauty and colors of the silver and stone as best as I could. Due to differences in computer screens and lighting situations, the in-real-life color may look slightly different to you.

At this time, yes. I would love to try working something out with you. Please note that I primarily work in fine and sterling silver and natural gemstones. I do not do castings or engravings at this point in time, but I would absolutely love to in the future. Prices for custom pieces start at $50 and go up from there depending on the materials, size of the piece, and time to design, source materials, and create your piece. If this is something that interests you, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yes. It is simply the chemical nature of sterling silver reacting to the elements. I will include a small polishing foam cloth with your piece to spot clean it, but you may want to invest (they're actually inexpensive) in a silver polishing cloth to keep your piece looking lovely. Please also make sure to store your ring in a secure location, such as the anti-tarnish pouch included with your piece. Always remove your pieces before washing your hands, digging in the dirt, exercise, or any other activity that might expose your piece to unfavorable conditions.
Yep. One of the reasons I love working with sterling silver is that its color darkens (patina) over time, bringing attention to the little dents and valleys that come with natural wear from loving a piece. Some people don't prefer this look, but I do so much so that most of my pieces have an added patina before I polish them.
I ship orders within 3-5 business days of receiving them. I ship USPS first class mail, which typically takes 3-5 business days to arrive once it has been shipped. Please note, that I am a one woman business, and sometimes extenuating circumstances such as illness or family emergencies can occur that may impact this timeline. If that happens, I will contact you to let you know.
When filling out your order, please pay extra care to enter the correct address. I am not responsible for packages lost in transit by the post or mis-delivered packages due to an incorrect or incomplete address entered at the time or order.
I have thankfully not had any shipping issues yet. If you have any concerns, please feel free to email me at email@example.com
As each ring is made in a very specific fashion, the resizing of a piece would alter (sometimes drastically) the piece. Because of this, I do not offer ring resizing services.
If something happens to your piece that causes damage to it, please reach out to me directly so we can try to come up with the best solution for you. Sometimes, it is s simple repair that I can take on. Other times, it is best to leave a more sensitive repair to one of my other local professionals.
Because I have received many requests to NOT include receipt for gift-giving purposes and to save paper, I do not include printed paper receipts with orders. You should receive a receipt to the email you provided at the time of order. If you don't see it, check that pesky SPAM folder!
I use only 100% soy wax for my candles. Soy is softer than beeswax, and reacts in tandem with the cold and heat around it. This means, that if the jar becomes cold (usually happens in shipping), the wax shrinks a tiny bit, and pulls away from the glass in places. Fear not! This one's an easy fix! Light the candle and enjoy! The beauty of a soy candle is that it tends to heat more evenly than other waxes. This means once it burns for a little while, the wax redistributes itself in the container. This results in more bang for your buck as more of the candle burns.
Simply put...that's what soy does. It's the nature of the wax. It can be somewhat remedied with additives, but I would rather make you lovely frosty candles than smooth ones with added harsh chemicals.
